Join me for my new Float and Foraging Activities Day in June 2026!
Sunday 21st June 11am - 5pm
Come aboard our sweet little canal boat 'Saxon' moored in East Riding, then be cruised up the canal to moor at a wooded spot where we will alight and explore and do some fun foraging related activities.
Structure of the Day
Park for free (roadside parking or small car park at the moorings)
Be met at the car park (where there is a proper loo).
Climb Aboard 'Saxon'
Settle into your cushioned bench seat and watch the swans out of the window as you are cruised up the canal. During this half an hour Di will do introductions, and a little talk about Wild Food Foraging - Benefits plus Safe and Legal Processes etc.
On the Canal Side we will explore the woodland and grassland, collecting leaves and flowers in our baskets to bring back for the activities.
On the journey back you can take a turn at steering while we chat about the joys and costs of owning a canal boat and renting moorings.
Have a Go at Boating!
If you fancy a go of piloting the boat just say! We will also build in time to ask questions about the purchasing of a canal boat, mooring costs, care etc.
What is Included?
- Coffee/Tea and Cake
- A Comprehensive Foraging Walk, covering not just food aspects but health and beauty.
- 2 x Foraged Flower Bath Bombs
- A Pat of Foraged Herb Home Made Butter to Take Home.
- Boat Buying/Mooring Chat and Have a Go at Piloting the Boat!
- An A3 Sheet of Paper each to add your foraged finds to, label them yourself and photograph from above as your own personal memory of which plants you 'met' and how they can be use.
How Much is the Float and Foraging Activities Day?
Price Per Guest £145 or £260 Per Couple from the Same Household - As this is a new offering we are limiting places to just six guests, so get booked on quickly!
Important Information!
This is not for children, sorry, as boat space is very limited. It's an opportunity for adults to learn fully and enjoy some learning, connection and growth in a small, deep-water surrounded space!
This is not suitable for dogs (as above)
There IS a loo on the boat - it's a portaloo. We encourage you to toilet fully in the proper loo at the Docks before and/or after and just use the boat loo for any in-between 'pees'. Thanks for your understanding. Its one thing to have to deal with your own families poo, but another... ... I won't go on haha, I'm sure you understand.
You can choose to split your payments interest free, just choose Klarna at checkout and they do the rest.

We have stood the test of time. Established in 2006 we are nearly 20 years old! We have survived pandemics and recessions and are still here. Read our reviews as testimony to how hard we work to keep you happy! Others have come and gone but we are still strong through our professionalism, quality of service for the price, and resilience.

Support Female-Led Independent Small Business.
Wild Harvest was set up by a single mum of three... slowly building a business around her children, without any help. No grants, no Daddy's purse strings - just hard work and dedication and determination to provide affordable sustainable education.
-
Reliable - Book Us and We WILL Be There!
Over all our time we have not cancelled a single session. If we commit to being there we will be there. I cringe when I see other teaching businesses cancel for personal reasons regularly letting people down and I truly believe in honouring your booking with my effort to get us there.
