Who are we?
Wild Harvest School have been teaching self-sufficiency skills for nearly twenty years as one of the longest serving schools in the UK. We have taught on Escape to the Country, Countryfile, ran workshops for Country Living Magazine, been in Landlove, Crafts Beautiful, and regularly featured in the Yorkshire Post rural life magazines.
Based from our tipi site sustainable education venue in the rural outskirts of York the school began with founder Di, a mother of three and teacher, living off-grid on the moors. Using what was around them to provide for much of their household needs.

To the wild food walks yes, well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. To the tipi site... Sorry we love animals but we. have a free range sheep, hens and an old labrador. Plus we have a policy of no animals in the units to keep them feeling fresh and ok for allergy sufferers. We are down the road from Storwood Kennels if you need pet boarding.

Why Choose Wild Harvest?
-
Long Established
We have stood the test of time. Established in 2006 we are nearly 20 years old! We have survived pandemics and recessions and are still here. Read our reviews as testimony to how hard we work to keep you happy! Others have come and gone but we are still strong through our professionalism, quality of service for the price, and resilience.
-
Support Female-Led Independent Small Business.
Wild Harvest was set up by a single mum of three... slowly building a business around her children, without any help. No grants, no Daddy's purse strings - just hard work and dedication and determination to provide affordable sustainable education.
-
Reliable - Book Us and We WILL Be There!
Over all our time we have not cancelled a single session. If we commit to being there we will be there. I cringe when I see other teaching businesses cancel for personal reasons regularly letting people down and I truly believe in honouring your booking with my effort to get us there.
