Questions About Our Foraging Courses?

Foraging Courses, U.K

Where are Wild Harvest foraging courses held?

You can choose either York City, or based from our farm in the rural outskirts of York. For a private group booking we can cover most areas of the U.K, just ask. Our organised walks are based in Yorkshire, Teesside and North Lincs areas currently.

How Much is a Wild Harvest Foraging Course?

The price for our set-date organised foraging walks are around £20 a head. Despite being one of the longest teaching businesses we remain the most affordable. Even my own teaching students are charging more per head. I believe strongly that this education should be accessible to all and not become an elite subject that those who need it can't afford. So, we keep our foraging courses affordable from £4 for an ebook, via £21 for an online course or attended walk, to £120 for a two person private booking. Quality AND affordability - it's only fair.

How Long is a Foraging Course?

You can choose. From 1.5 hours at the minimum to allow time for a really comprehensive introduction, to our standard 2.5/3 hour organised walk covering a larger number of groups of plants. We also occasionally run full day workshops involving a walk or two plus foraging related activities. Finally, if you are looking for a fully immersive experience, check out our retreats!

What If I Have Booked a Foraging Course but Can't Make It?

We know you wouldn't expect us to cancel on YOU so please understand that for small sustainable education business to remain viable over time, and keep teaching into the future, we need to know our numbers. We can't refund you, you may however gift or sell your ticket to a friend. Just let us know their email.

Our Foraging Course Leaders...

Book a walk with us and it will usually be Di as your foraging course tutor but sometimes, the team help out too...

Wild Harvests Wild Food Foraging Course Leaders...

Di Hammill Page

Di Hammill Page is Wild Harvest Schools main wild food course leader. A qualified adult education lecturer she embeds 'proper' teaching and learning techniques into your foraging courses quietly aimed at embedding a deeper learning, but does so in a fun accessible way. Using a mixture of anecdotal stories and plant chemicals, via simple family recipes and cautionary notes... she ensures that there is something for everyone.
