Wild Beauty Retreat


Slow down, make things by hand and explore a more natural approach to everyday beauty at Wild Harvest’s two-day Wild Beauty Retreat.

Arrive and settle into your tipis on Friday evening from 6pm then, across two full days of practical sessions, 9:30am–5pm, you’ll discover how botanical ingredients, oils, minerals and simple cupboard staples can be used to make natural body and beauty products.
There’ll be time to try different recipes, experiment with scent and texture, and find the products you’ll most enjoy making at home.

The First Day

The first day focuses on Body Basics, with recipes such as soap, toothpaste, body butter, deodorant, bath salts or bombs, and bath oil.

The Second Day

Explore Natural Beauty, including face oil or balm, toner, a pink-clay and rose-petal face scrub-mask, lip and cheek tint, highlighter and natural perfume. Your creations will be packaged in pretty tins and glass bottles.

The Venue and Accommodation

Stay for two nights in shared tipi accommodation at the Wild Harvest site. Facilities include a kitchenette, shower, loo and fire circle, along with bedding, towels, site consumables and parking. An extra night may be available if you’d like more time for the journey home. An extra night on Sunday night.

Food and Drink

Food is self-catered, so bring your own meals and use the kitchenette. Refreshments and hot drinks are included.

We have been around since 2006, one of the longest serving sustainable education businesses. We deliberately don't apply for grants so that we know we can keep teaching into tomorrow. Book us and we will be there. Proven track record of 100% turn up rate.

Affordable

We believe this education should be accessible and aim to price to cover our costs and pay our taxes but also be affordable to you. Sustainable education should not be an elite subject but should be accessible to all. We are not grant funded though so please don't expect us to compete with free temporary initiatives using public money.

Where are you based?

We are based in the rural outskirts of York, 12 miles from the city, but we.do work all over. If you are coming here for your glamping, activities or walks/course then we can be found on Google maps HERE

Can I Bring My Dog?

To the wild food walks yes, well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. To the tipi site... Sorry we love animals but we. have a free range sheep, hens and an old labrador. Plus we have a policy of no animals in the units to keep them feeling fresh and ok for allergy sufferers. We are down the road from Storwood Kennels if you need pet boarding.

What if I Can't Make It?

We know you wouldn't want us to cancel on you and hope that you see we book tutors, organise resources and block time out for bookings so we allow you to sell your space on, or gift it to a friend. Or we can offer you online courses and ebooks instead.
