The Venue: Your Private Micro Wedding Space near York

Set in the rural outskirts of York, our venue is yours and yours alone for the weekend. Forget sharing your big day with other guests; you get exclusive access to our "Bijoux Boho" site.

Accommodation: Three traditional wooden tipis (sleeping 4 each) plus our charming 'Pink Door' Hut (sleeping 2). Perfect for 14 sleep over guests. More can stay locally.

The Gathering Space: A central covered fire circle for evening celebrations, complete with a quirky botanical pallet bar where you can garnish drinks with herbs grown right on-site.

Feasting: A traditional wood-fired pizza oven and a BBQ grill over the fire pit, for a relaxed, "self-catered" wedding breakfast that encourages connection and laughter.

Other Facilities: Indoor Cosy Hut: A cosy cabin with a wood-burner, a private "loo and shower" and a covered outdoor kitchenette.

Handfasting & Ceremonies

We specialize in Handfasting—an ancient Celtic ritual where the couple’s hands are tied together to symbolize their union (the origin of "tying the knot"). We can provide an arch looking over the flat open countryside.

Whether you want a formal ceremony or a quiet, private elopement, our site provides a natural "cathedral of Nature" backdrop. While our site is perfect for humanist or celebrant-led ceremonies, we offer a space that feels sacred, grounded, and timeless.

The "Wild" Wedding Experience

Most weddings are over in a few hours. A Wild Harvest wedding is a two-night retreat Why not enhance your stay with our signature nature-inspired activities:

Flower Crown Workshops: Create your own bridal headwear for you and your party.

Instinctive Archery: A fun, "Hunger Games" style activity for your guests between the ceremony and the evening "do."

Wild Food Foraging: A guided wander to gather natural flourishes for your wedding table.

Eco-Crafts: From beeswax candle making to leather journal making, give your guests a handmade memory to take home.

F.A.Q's

What is a Micro Wedding?

A Micro Wedding is a small intimate gathering of 40 or fewer specially chosen guests. Micro weddings have seen a rise in popularity as folk move away from big showy impersonal weddings that last a few hours and cost a house deposit. Instead spend the weekend with those that matter, in Nature in a cosy glamping site of your own.

Can I Book a Micro Wedding with a Deposit?

Yes we accept a 20% deposit to book, the remainder is payable 60 days before the event.

What is the difference between a Micro Wedding and an Elopement Wedding?

Often used to refer to the same thing, a small intimate; there are slight differences between an elopement wedding and a micro wedding. An elopement wedding is often planned and achieved more quickly eg. three to six months. We can cater for that at Wild Harvest, York. Unlike bigger venues where you have to plan years ahead we can get your special day sorted much sooner. Elopement weddings are still usually small events attended by just the few (who can elope with the couple).

Micro weddings are still small, in guest number size but not necessarily as quietly planned or arranged quickly. They are simply weddings of 40 or fewer guests.
