Ash Keys in Chai Tea

Early morning solo hike. A quick 2.5 hour walk, taking in some deep breaths, and gentle hills. Nibbled on beet tops (not just for livestock), ate some sloes in the best way ever (with dark chocolate) collected some ash seeds, hogweed seeds, hips and haws for some berry chai tea, chatted to some Emden geese and a sheep of a type I’d not met before. Givendale circular all before work! Lockdown doesn’t mean isolation , there is connection all around us should we choose to find it and a great peace and strength in solitude.
